In looking for new and innovative platforms for students to network, we wanted to highlight the Toolsy network. You may have seen in already in social media such as Instagram, but we wanted to do a deep dive on the story behind the platform. was founded in 2020 by Matthew Khorsandi and Floyd Mitchell with the intention of curating and creating the best software, tools and resources on the Internet. The company’s mission is to help people find success by integrating the right software and tools for their businesses.

The company interviews and works with business leaders in all major fields of work who share not only their expertise and experiences, but also the specific software, tools and resources they use to succeed in life and business.

There are countless podcasts and interviews on the Internet. Toolsy differentiates itself by getting their interviewees to actually share the tangible tools and software they use for their businesses. This includes things like mindset during times of hardship, how to manage your time, the science behind visualization and more.



Toolsy interviews leaders in a wide range of industries who share the same mission of wanting to help others find success and fulfillment.  These are business and thought leaders who go out of their way to provide you with tools and software they recommend based on their own experience and use of those tools.


For example, if you’re interested in opening your own coffee shop or restaurant, Toolsy has interviewed Founders like Matthew Morton of Cha Cha Matcha and Josh Akhtarzad of Alfred Coffee, who share how they’ve been able to start and dominate their respective matcha/coffee businesses, and also share all of the software platforms their businesses are operating on.


If you’re looking to become a photographer, Toolsy did an extremely intimate interview with world renowned photographer Cibelle Levi who shares how to overcome the challenges of following your passion in addition to all of the cameras she uses, editing tools, and more.


If you’re looking to become a real estate agent, Toolsy did an awesome interview with Jacob Greene who is a partner at The Altman Brothers, sold $90 million of real estate in 2019, and shares every step he took to get there.
